Mohawk and Belden on the 2014 Sales Structure

by Julie Clark on December 27, 2013

Just a few weeks ago we shared a press release on the upcoming Mohawk-Belden solutions to be released in 2014. Now, we have more details for you on the new sales structure, which will provide increased access to Belden Connectivity products through Mohawk Manufacturing Representatives.

Effective January 1, 2014, Belden and Mohawk manufacturing representatives will carry all Belden enterprise network infrastructure products, in addition to Mohawk's cable lines. Belden systems will continue to be offered as a high-performance, end-to-end solution while Mohawk cable will continue to be offered as the open architecture alternative.  mohawk-flyer

The Belden and Mohawk partnership will open up more opportunities for customers to access the Belden connectivity solutions they need. In addition to customer benefits, Mohawk contractors will gain access to the Belden PartnerAlliance program, which offers comprehensive training, certification and support for network installations. Certified contractors will even be able to offer the industry's leading warranties covering installations using the entire breadth of both Belden and Mohawk lines. Customers will continue to be able to purchase both Mohawk and Belden products from Accu-Tech without interruption.

FAQ

What changes are being made?

Belden is extending its network of manufacturing reps to cover the entire US market and authorizing them to sell both Belden and Mohawk branded products. While the manufacturer reps handle the bulk of the day-to-day business, Belden direct sales reps will transition to a strategic account approach.

What does this mean to End-Users?

Customers who wish to purchase either Mohawk or Belden products will be able to continue to do so through existing distribution or contractor partners without any interruption. Customers will benefit from the extended number of experts offering technical and sales support and have easier access to Belden connectivity products with either Belden or Mohawk branded cable. Customers will also gain greater peace of mind through enhanced warranties on installations using both Belden and Mohawk products.

What does this mean to Contractor Partners?

Mohawk contractors will gain access to the Belden PartnerAlliance program, which offers comprehensive training, certification, and support for network installations. Certified contractors will be able to offer industry leading warranties that cover installations using the entire breadth of both Belden and Mohawk lines.

What does this mean to Distributors?

No changes are taking place in distribution agreements, and transactions for both brands should continue without any changes to the current process. We expect that the increase in sales representatives will significantly boost the overall awareness of both Belden and Mohawk products.

What’s going to happen to the Mohawk brand?

The Mohawk brand is a well-known brand for open-architecture installations, and will continue to be a valued part of our portfolio. There are no plans to retire the Mohawk brand.

Who do customers and channel partners call for more information?
