Corning: Recommended Fiber Optic Test Guidelines

by Lauren Dempsey on February 19, 2013

Post originated from the Corning White Paper below.
This paper explains the recommended guidelines for testing an installed fiber optic system. Fiber optic testing of a newly installed system not only verifies that the system meets its design requirements, but also creates a performance baseline for all future testing and troubleshooting of that system. Corning Cable Systems recommends that all fiber optic systems be tested to a minimum set of standards. This testing will ensure that the data necessary to properly evaluate any future system malfunctions will be available.
