Fiber SenSys Announces New Device Software Development Kit (SDK)

by Lauren Dempsey on April 18, 2013

Fiber Sensys Press Release below.
Fiber SenSys, Inc. (FSI) announced the availability of a new Software Development Kit (SDK) for immediate use by industry partners. The Device SDK allows the integration of FSI Alarm Processor Units (APU's) with external software. The Device SDK provides an Application Programming Interface (API) for locating, connecting to, changing settings, and monitoring FD3xx & FD5xx Alarm Processing Units (APUs) across a TCP/IP network. Monitoring includes notification of alarms, faults, communication failures, and tampers. The Device SDK provides .NET 4.0 components that can be incorporated directly into a customer's software application. Additionally, the Device SDK includes source code for a middleware application that can easily be customized to communicate with customer software.

"In today's security technology environment, alternatives for integrated security platforms represents a new generation of interoperability", said Edward Tapanes, FSI CEO. "With the Device SDK, security industry head-end, camera management and other platforms can easily communicate with the FSI APU's with TCP/IP network communications", Tapanes added.

Fiber SenSys also announced that the no-charge license for the Device SDK allows for redistribution of the .NET components and middleware template for use with customer software.
