Sporting events are among broadcast's toughest venues, requiring the rapid pulling of miles of field-deployable cable across fences, through water, around rough-hewn rodeo arenas and along frozen ski slopes or blazing hot racetracks. Remote broadcasts demand the brisk deployment of dozens of strands of cable to cameras that fly over football fields, hang from cranes, and are then re-gathered and tossed into crates to be shipped to the next venue. SMPTE Cable:

SMPTE Essential is a great value, perfect for indoor use and occasional outdoor deployment and fully SMPTE 311 compliant.

SMPTE Tactical is ideal for harsh outdoor deployable applications. This cable utilizes OCC’s Ultra-Fox ™ Plus buffer system for maximum fiber protection. Fully SMPTE 311 compliant.*

SMPTE FLEX is flexible enough to let cameras move quickly and frequently. The aramid yarn central strength member increase this flexibility and decreases the weight of the cable. Compatible with SMPTE 311 Standard, this cable also boasts OCC’s Ultra-Fox ™ Plus buffer system.*

*Ultra-Fox ™ Plus is OCC’s deployable buffer system with the combination of a triple thickness 500 micron diameter acrylate coating together with a hard elastomer 900 micron tight buffer for maximum fiber protection.

Fiber Optic Cable:

OCC’s D-Series Distribution field deployable broadcast cables are designed for use in adverse environments where reduced size and weight are important.
