Vicon Announces New ViconNet 8 VMS

Vicon Industries, Inc., one of our manufacturer partners, is a trusted designer and producer of video security systems and high-performance IP cameras. Vicon recently announced that the newest version of its popular video management software, ViconNet 8, would become available August 17th.

Vicon's new version of ViconNet VMS offers a more efficient system for managing video surveillance with faster and better organized video management and has strengthened the level of integration with all open-standard devices. 

In keeping with Vicon’s new drive towards standards-based interoperation, ViconNet 8 opens up compatibility, most significantly with their Express plug-and-play NVRs and DVRs and its new VAX Access Control System.

Further updates include: 

• connection monitoring
• providing direct access to edge playback
• exporting video clips faster and with better resolution
• supporting group sorting for easier programming
• simplifying the archive export tool and auto adjusts the ViconNet UI to the monitor screen
• user friendly management
• customization abilities
