--- title: 3M's Slim Lock Closure For Cell Sites description: Wireless weatherproofing applications are essential to ensure a compact closure protects RF connections at the cell site - especially when those connections are close together. As a result of Multiple In Multiple Out (MIMO) antenna requirements for LTE and the trend toward multiband multiservice antennas, RF connector density on the antenna is becoming problematic for older, bulkier weatherproofing solutions. Tapes and mastics, for instance, may be difficult to use in such a congested area.ew image: https://www.accu-tech.com/hs-fs/hub/54495/file-2394667873.jpg --- {% set baseFontFamily = "Open Sans" %} /* Add the font family you wish to use. As a result of Multiple In Multiple Out (MIMO) antenna requirements for LTE and the trend toward multiband multiservice antennas, RF connector density on the antenna is becoming problematic for older, bulkier weatherproofing solutions. Tapes and mastics, for instance, may be difficult to use in such a congested area. The 3M Slim Lock Classic Closure is reusable, re-enterable and tool-less, making it a time-saving, cost-effective, easy-to-use solution for the wireless industry. It can be used at the RF connection points on both the antenna and Remote Radio Unit (RRU) in an FTTA installation. RF connections need to be protected so that moisture cannot intrude, which can lead to signal integrity issues.   ![3Ms_Slim_Lock_Closure_For_Cell_Sites_1](https://www.accu-tech.com/hs-fs/hub/54495/file-2394667873.jpg)   Air is displaced around protected interconnections using a highly compliant sealing gel technology providing a robust sealing interface. This closure can be opened and reused without disconnection of the network, thereby avoiding signal interruptions and additional replacement costs. The Slim Lock Classic Closure is a one-handed, easy-to-use weatherproofing device that fits in small spaces allowing for fast installation. If you haven't seen it first-hand, then you're really missing out on a flexible tool in your cabling arsenal!
