# TE Connectivity: The Answer To Fiber Congestion

by **[Lauren Dempsey](https://www.accu-tech.com/accu-insider/author/lauren-dempsey)** on December 13, 2012

The demand for increased bandwidth requires service providers to use more fiber to accommodate capacity needs. However, the increased fiber creates additional problems; the vertical and horizontal fiber-routing systems fill up too quickly and become clogged. Additionally, the congestion in the routing systems make it harder for technicians to access circuits and install new ones, putting your network reliability at risk. So, how do you increase your bandwidth, reduce your cost, and improve your network reliability? TE Connectivity’s solution to these issues is a microcable patchcord. This patchcord requires less space and is 3 times stronger than the larger cables—freeing up space in the routing system and providing more reliability for your network. To learn more about the microcable patchcord and it's benefits, follow the link to view [TE Connectivity's White Paper.](http://www.te.com/content/dam/te/global/english/industries/telecom-networks/knowledge-center/documents/telecom-white-paper-overcoming-space-challenges-small-diameter-cable-313898ae.pdf)
