Berk-Tek created a unique solution to this problem with its OneReach system – a power and data cabling system designed to simplify network and device management while extending the reach of PoE and cabling assemblies.   Traditional boundaries to cabling and fiber were reliably getting power and data to extended distances, mainly for security devices, access control, or wireless access. Their systems combine optical fiber with copper conductors that allow for distances over 3,800 feet for PoE and over 2,500 feet for PoE+. While Power over ethernet is nothing new, Berk-Tek changes the game by allowing equipment to be located more than 100 meters from the network switch. The combination of PoE and long distance applications can lead to large savings for an installer faced with the option of installing new electrical outlets for far-flung applications.   ![BerkTek1](https://www.accu-tech.com/hs-fs/file-334314190-png/images/berktek1.png)   The OneReach system also makes life easier for the installer, with pre-terminated assemblies, and a wide selection of copper and fiber components that can be mixed and matched to the required specifications and needs of a particular network. Other excellent benefits of the OneReach system are include:   - Designed for indoor and outdoor installations - An armor option for crush resistance and rodent attacks - Optional pigtails for field termination and questionable run lengths - Gigabit ethernet support - CL3R-OF that is wet & dry rated.   Overall, OneReach is an exciting system which will allow end-users the power to break free from traditional boundaries, and embrace a much more flexible set of possibilities.   To learn more, contact a [local Accu-Tech representative](https://www.accu-tech.com/contact-us). - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) Topics: [Berk-Tek](https://www.accu-tech.com/accu-insider/topic/berk-tek) [Data Center](https://www.accu-tech.com/accu-insider/topic/data-center) [power over ethernet](https://www.accu-tech.com/accu-insider/topic/power-over-ethernet) ### Subscribe To Our Blog ### Additional Information ### About Accu-Tech Accu-Tech is a national distributor of Voice, Data, AV, Wireless, and Security solutions.
