Their DCIM solution was not integrated with any power or environmental data, so gathering such data was time-consuming. Additionally, power was not being managed in a comprehensive manner, and servers were limited to a minimum. CenterPoint was looking for a solution that would allow the company to completely unify its physical infrastructure across these locations, enabling it to operate efficiently and at its maximum potential. The solution would also need to be resilient, adaptable and scalable, as it couldn't just work today - it would need to last through several upgrades and changing business needs.  Panduit empowered CenterPoint Energy to optimize uptime, efficiency, security and capacity while achieving business continuity and resiliency for the next 30+ years. They implemented the SmartZone™ DCIM Software Suite, which includes asset and connectivity tracking, power and thermal management, and environmental and cooling optimization modules.
