Plenum space is a necessary work area for contractors and installers and, due to the high volume of oxygen, fires can easily spark and spread throughout a building. Plenum-rated cables and fasteners are less toxic and help to prevent fires. This is important within highly populated buildings such as offices, schools and hospitals. [VELCRO®Brand ONE-WRAP® FR Tape](https://www.velcro.com/business/professional-series/professional-series-one-wrap-tape/#fr) is a practical and fire retardant cable management solution for cable pathways within plenum space. Here are the reasons why VELCRO® Brand ONE-WRAP® FR Tape can make your next installation safer and more secure. ### **Damage Free & Data Friendly** ![Fire Retardant Cable Management](https://s23775.pcdn.co/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2019/07/Electrical-Issues-1024x576.jpg) VELCRO® Brand ONE-WRAP® FR Tape can be unwrapped and reused many times during its lifespan. These easy-to-use fasteners eliminate the risk of puncturing cables during adds, moves or changes while reducing waste, compared to traditional single-use plastic alternatives. ### **Compliance with National Electric Code & Plenum-rated** ![](https://s23775.pcdn.co/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2019/07/shutterstock_209367313-1024x576.jpg) Plenum spaces require fire retardant cables in order to prevent fires from spreading throughout a building. If you are spending the time and effort to make sure your cables are compliant, you will need to verify that you have fire retardant cable management too. VELCRO® Brand ONE-WRAP® FR Tape is UL rated and suitable for use in air handling spaces in accordance with [Section 300.22 (C) and (D) of the National Electrical Code](https://www.nfpa.org/codes-and-standards/all-codes-and-standards/list-of-codes-and-standards/detail?code=70). Additionally, [experts say](https://www.ecmag.com/section/integrated-systems/plenum-vs-non-plenum) that by using fire retardant equipment, liability can be lowered due to the reduced risk of fire damage. When specifying your next job, consider VELCRO® Brand Professional Series ONE-WRAP® FR Tape for your plenum spaces and see why this is an evolution in cable management.
