MobileAccess2000 is Corning MobileAccess’ leading multi-carrier/multi-service in-building wireless infrastructure platform, accommodating multiple operator requirements across a single converged network. This comprehensive and flexible solution enables wireless RF services distribution via a fiber backbone and a single set of coaxial cables and broadband antennas that deliver the widest variety of wireless services from 400 MHz to 6 GHz, over one infrastructure.

Highly scalable, cost-effective deployment, allows services added with ‘plug and play’ modules.

With an innovative Wire-it-Once approach, a single MobileAccess2000 platform delivers reliable, carrier-grade coverage for multiple operator frequency bands, services and technologies including cellular, PCS, iDEN/SMR, AWS, UMTS, as well as integrated WLAN (802.11a/b/g), WMTS for wireless patient monitoring, paging, two-way radio and 4G services (LTE, WiMAX) with MIMO antenna technology. Public Safety over 700 MHz band is also supported.

The MobileAccess2000 broadband platform requires no parallel networks, allowing for excellent scalability without re-designs and network overhauls when on-boarding new carriers or adding emerging services. Since service additions are managed and installed in secure, accessible IDP closets instead of ceilings, the open platform maximizes ROI while delivering the broadest range of applications over the existing antenna grid.

Likewise, adding a 700 MHz LTE with MIMO network for Verizon and AT&T transparency is a
simple, modular addition. In addition, the platform offers optional integrated WLAN RF distribution and higher-power remote options.

Healthcare. Corning MobileAccess deployed the

industry’s first open platform to offer an integrated, FDA-certified Wireless Medical Telemetry Service (WMTS) coverage solution. With all active components hosted in IDF/telecom closes, passive broadband media use in the horizontal distribution architecture avoids future maintenance involving penetration of ceiling tiles and related Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) compliance procedures. Proactive alarming offered by the Element Management System (EMS) helps IT staff ensure maximum uptime for life-critical applications that depend on RF connectivity.

Public Venues. Public venues have a variety of wireless requirements, from coverage for voice and data to two-way radio and other wireless services. These facilities also have unique coverage challenges due to diverse floor plans, including both open-air and closed spaces such as meeting rooms and concession stands. The MobileAccess2000 platform offers design flexibility and higher-power options with MobileAccessHX remotes, or lower power remotes that offer smaller coverage zones to enable the addition of operator capacity (sectorization) without network overhauls.
