As shared with you in the [first post in this series](https://www.accu-tech.com/accu-insider/tales-from-the-medical-trenches-helping-healthcare-facilities-secure-data-and-save-lives), maintaining the integrity and security of medical data is paramount. The infrastructure that houses this data must protect important and confidential patient information, as well as support critical care functions. This sensitive data could mean life or death if it is tampered with or accessed by someone with less-than-good intentions. When it comes to physical infrastructure, Great Lakes Case & Cabinet (GLCC) offers state-of-the-art equipment to provide a level of physical security in medical facilities to keep data secure and patients safe.  With all of this in mind, it is very reasonable for hospitals to impose strict regulations, such as HIPAA, PCI DSS and FIPS, on the data they hold. Hospitals also enforce regulations on who can access this data on a day-to-day basis and how the infrastructure that supports it is installed. "In Healthcare, there are no cutting corners," says GLCC engineer Dylan Hascher. "If they have something they want or need, it has to be exactly that. There's no 'that's good enough.'"  Great Lakes Case & Cabinet provides top-of-the-line custom solutions to support even the toughest of data regulations.
