Leviton has unveiled a new network management solution to prevent distruptions and reduce risk in data centers. The solution for fiber and copper network security has been evolving over the past few years into a combination of passive and active components. Having a system that can passively deter potential criminal activity while being able to send alerts and real-time information to IT managers when needed is an essential part of data centers today. The Intelligent Port Management System by Leviton not only provides these security benefits, but also allows quick diagnosis of problems and handling of MAC work.

USB intact device hubs are available to expand the number of intact patch panels that can connect to an intact device manager. Also multiple ID managers operate together seamlessly, allowing the system to scale easily. Because the software allows users to assist technicians with changes and troubleshooting work orders, logging events and creating network topologies is easier than ever before. By providing visual displays and detailed conenction information, the software makes it easy to navigate to the right panels and identify specific ports, eliminating accidental moves and changes. The software arrives pre-installed on the Intact Device Manager, so there's also no additional set-up or configuration needed before use.

The Intact system is the only port management system with additional physical security through Intact Secure RJ and LC patch cords. These special cords include a patented locking mechanism that cannot be released without tools of the same color.
